Description: The U.S. Consulate General, Public Affairs Section in Chennai is soliciting proposals for a grant/cooperative agreement for this funding opportunity which is to enhance the capacity of U.S. government-sponsored program alumni to share knowledge gained from their exchange programs among local stakeholders, and in furtherance of shared U.S.-India objectives. This funding opportunity seeks to build upon four (4) or more recent IVLP and other exchange programs through the implementation of at least one follow-on alumni workshop for each exchange on topics/themes including (but not limited to): · Water · Sustainability and Disaster Management/Resiliency · Countering Disinformation and Online Harassment and Trolling · Civil Rights, Civic Responsibility, and Active Citizenship · Trafficking in Persons · Air Quality · Empowering Women and Girls · Advancing Science, Technology, Health, and Innovation · Promoting Inclusion and Educational Opportunity · Forthcoming projects from the 2020 IVLP slate, TBC These workshops will enable recent U.S. exchange program alumni in India to use their first-hand exchange experience to lead capacity building workshops for their peer groups, including non-elite, regional language, and rural participants, sharing knowledge acquired from U.S. exchange programs more broadly. Outcomes will include attitude, knowledge and behavioral change, and shared photo essays, media articles, podcasts, and blogs by participants.
